The Blipoint team, together with Global Humanitaria, would like to congratulate and thank all of the members of the Blipoint community that participated by publishing their images in the “Education is a Universal Right” contest. Thanks to your support and solidarity, we will be able to help those that don’t have the universal right to education.

We will be exhibiting the 20 images that have been selected by our professional team. They will be shown in the Niu contemporary art space.

General Information:

The inauguration of the exhibition will take place on October 21st, 2010 at 19:30. The opening will be celebrated with a cocktail party, and we will show an art video related to the exhibition’s subject matter.

Date: Exhibition from October 21st until November 14th, 2010.
Opening hours: 11:00 to 19:00, Monday to Friday.

The Blipoint team would like to inform you about the new voting system that will be valid from September, 2010 onwards.

The new voting system will take place in 3 stages:

First stage:
-Once the contest has been published in the web, the participants can publish their images that represent the contest’s concept. In this stage, you will only be able to publish images and make comments. No voting will take place.
Second stage:
-The participation period ends. You will not be able to publish any more images in the contest, and the voting period with the new star voting system starts: with this type of voting system, you will only be able to vote once for the image that you like best; the votes cast by users with a complete profile and that are active in Blipoint will have more value; the votes cast by those users that register and immediately vote for the image will have very little value. In this way, the users that have more friends will not end up in first place. The voting will be done by the actual photographers, illustrators, graphic designers, and individuals that are active in the Blipoint community.

Third stage:
-Once the contest has ended, the qualified panel of judges will make the final selection of the winning images.

The same process will take place for all of the contests published in Blipoint.

Dreams

“When we dream we reveal the most concealed aspects of our personality. A hidden door opens in the soul’s secret spaces, and the characters that transport us to our most real fantasies appear. They will guide us by way of our psyche, and will be the key to the exploration of our deepest thoughts.”

A cocktail party will take place for the inauguration of this much anticipated exhibition on the 24th of April at 19:00, in the Nomada Space.

In the world, there are 72 million children without any formal education or schooling. Their capacity to learn, thirst for knowledge, and desire to build a future for themselves are the same as those of the children that go to school daily.
However, war, poverty, inequality between sexes, and the need to simply survive ensure that not everyone has the same opportunities. The initiative of Blipoint’s Gallery contest, together with the Global Humanitaria NGO, is to vindicate, through art, access to Obligatory Universal Education, one of the objectives of the Millennium foreseen for 2015.
An exhibition will take place featuring the 20 winning images in the NIU space. The takings of the sale will be used for the educational projects of Global Humanitaria.

The exhibition with the 20 winning images will take place from October 21st until November 14th, 2010. In NIU. Espai Artístic Contemporani.

We invite you to know the winners of Dreams, the winners images will be displayed at studio Nomada, located in Barcelona, calle De La Palma de Sant Just 7,  from April 24th until May 7 - 2010.

We invite you to depict nature in all of her splendour.

Nature provides us with experiences that are unique and leave a lasting impression, true gifts for man’s eyes, exclusive phenomena that don’t happen in the same way. Landscapes and moments whose incredible beauty we can enjoy.

The prize for the best image is the promotion of the artist for a year through our banner on the web portal Blipoint.

Last february 27 was celebrated the inauguration of the exhibition Macroview in the Studio Nómada in Barcelona.
